The ninth edition of this great race is planned for 2024. This race will not take place in 2023 due to Altis Endurance Sports Frank and Mike working lots of hours at our full time jobs. Our work situations are expected to change in 2023 so that this race can take place as planned in 2024. The marathon will start at 8:00AM, and the half marathon will start at 8:30AM. This event will take place in its entirety in Virginia on the Cross County Trail surfaced by asphalt, pavement, crushed stone, and dirt. More information on the race is below. The race start/finish is at Lake Accotink Park in the parking lot .7 miles past the park front entrance located at 7578 Accotink Park Road, Springfield, Va. 22150. 
The 2023 course is a fast one – the same course that was used for the race in 2019, 2020, and 2021. The course surface is a combination of concrete, asphalt, dirt, and gravel with most of the course being asphalt and concrete. The race uses 6.56 miles of the Cross County Trail so marathoners run two loops of the course, and half marathoners run one loop of the course. There is about 440 feet of elevation gain and loss in the half marathon, and 880 feet of gain and loss in the marathon. To view the course map please click on

As is the case with most races, there will be no refunds of entry fees to entrants. Transfers of race bibs from one runner to another is also not allowed. The 2023 event is limited to 200 entrants. There will not be a waiting list if the race fills.
